The Art of Contrast.
Ordered in form, free in expression: the MARQUIS thrives on a deliberate play of opposites. A strikingly fluted bezel, clear proportions and a structured metal bracelet give the collection its calm, classic discipline. They are contrasted by dials with depth, movement and character – from Nero Marmor and Amber Tiger to Verde Malachit and Azure Stone. The result is a watch that does not need to be loud to have presence: precise in its architecture, vibrant in its expression and made for a wrist that combines individuality with poise.

The Royal Sketch
The symmetry and proportions of the MARQUIS dial are precisely defined in the very first sketch and form the foundation of the line. Case, bezel, bracelet and dial come together in a self-contained composition – unmistakably MARQUIS.

Drawn by Light
No print, no decoration, but genuine tiger's eye. Ground to 0.4 millimeters and set on a brass base, the stone retains its full depth. Its golden-brown bands never rest: with every movement of the wrist, light travels through the mineral as if silk lay beneath the sapphire crystal. All around, slim silver-tone indices draw their clean line. Cool precision on warm stone.

The Power of Nature
The courtly world of Versailles combined strict architectural order with a fascination for rare stones and minerals. The MARQUIS takes up this contrast: the fluted bezel and articulated metal bracelet create a disciplined geometry, while the textured dial brings in color, depth and organic expression.

Mechanics Down to the Detail
The visible date disc shows how closely display and mechanics are linked in the Miyota 8215. A functional detail that begins deep within the movement.
