LA VAUGUYON - SUPERLATIVE MATERIALS

A wristwatch is much more than a timepiece. It is an expression of our personality. Every person is unique. This is what we appreciate and love about our customers.

The materials used, Forged Carbon and Damascus Steel, play the leading role in the latest two additions to La Vauguyon. They are emblematic of the wearer's individuality. Because no two watches are the same - each piece is unique. This is achieved through the manufacturing process.

The grain or structure of the surface is created by chance and is different for each individual watch. The result is a one of a kind - an expression of your uniqueness as it could not be more beautiful.

DAMASCUS STEEL

It is the individual grain of Damascus steel which makes this material so special. Each watch becomes a real unique specimen. A pattern, reminiscent of the structure of wood, runs through the metal in lines and waves: This is the characteristic look of Damascus steel.

Damascus steel is made from two different stainless steels. These are superimposed and fire-welded, forged and folded while red-hot. This is done until the two steels alternate in thin layers.

FORGED CARBON

A watch case made of forged carbon - this is watchmaking art of the highest order. This exclusive material is produced by heating carbon fibers in stainless steel molds and pressing them with up to 300 kilograms of pressure per square centimeter. What remains is pure carbon - light, scratch-resistant and with an individual structure.

SUPER-LUMINOVA

To ensure that readability is always guaranteed even in unfavorable lighting conditions, the hands and indices of the LA VAUGUYON are coated with Super-Luminova.

Super-Luminova are luminescent pigments that function similarly to small light storage batteries. This innovative luminous material is considered the non plus ultra in the luxury watch industry.

THE MOVEMENT - SELLITA SW500

Known for its legendary robustness, the SW500 represents the epitome of the Swiss automatic chronograph. The SW500 features an integrated chronograph mechanism and its multiple functions, including a 30-minute and 12-hour counter and a date display.

THE CASE BACK

The uncompromising attention to detail is also evident in the case back. The embossed crown complements the satin-finished stainless steel perfectly. The personal serial number is engraved on the rim.
